Christmas Festival 2003
in Historic Wallace Idaho

Logo for Wallace Christmas Festival 2003 Normally our Christmas Festival, with its Winter Walk through the neighborhood, is held on the first Saturday in December. However, this year we were honored to be selected as the host for The Capitol Holiday Tree and its entourage on November 22, 2003. Moving our winter celebration to the Saturday before Thanksgiving is a small price to pay to get the wide audience this "first-ever-from-Idaho" event will provide. Many people will be visiting Wallace for the first time because of the Tree; perhaps their enduring memory will be the friendly townfolk and the jolly Winter Walk.

Photo by Leona DiVecchia -- click to enlarge Normally the Winter Walk in Wallace is a crisp and clear stroll through the sparkling neighborhood. Last year, however, it was too warm, but the soggy high school band still played on. The 2000 tree contest and the 2001 Little Miss Snowflake competition are also pictured, thanks to Debbie Angle. The non-festival winter pictures on this page were taken by Leona DiVecchia.
