Locals who miss the old Lookout Pass may enjoy seeing an older version of this map that pays tribute to several important people in the Idaho Ski Club who maintained Lookout Pass from its creation in 1938 to its first commercial sale in 1991. |

The Back Side
New for the 2003/04 season, the Timber Wolf double chairlift
services five new runs that face the spectacular
St. Regis Lakes Basin
with Mount Stevens (elevation 6838') rising in the distance.
As you head down the mountain, the run farthest to your right
is Rainbow Ridge, 1¼ miles long and mellow.
It does get steep just before the trail divides into
This Way and That Way, however.
At the other extreme is Sun Dance which follows the lift
down the mountain from 5520' to 4520' (1100 vertical feet)
according to USGS elevation data. The final slope before reaching
the chair is VERY steep and twisted (two fall lines).
Cloud 9, Keystone, and Whitetail start out
gentle and uniformly get steeper and steeper until you
reach the slow skiing area at the bottom. Very Sweet!
