News & Announcements

OPEN for a "Sneak Preview" TOMORROW, November 19th! We have a whole lot of powder right now with cool temps. and more snow headed our way through the weekend, so we will continue to assess conditions and try to open additional terrain and chairlifts as soon as we can. At least Chair 1, 2, and the carpet lift will be open for skiing and boarding. Tubing and scenic rides are also available. This is a sneak preview, so there will be discounted lift tickets, but we hope to have all our terrain and lifts open soon. An adult lift ticket will be $39, and a youth ticket will be $29. Silver Mountain's next day of operations will be Friday, November 24 when normal operations are scheduled to start. You'll want to be here on November 25th for the Kellogg Christmas Lighting Festival with fireworks, pictures with Santa, and a ski movie premiere.

For information regarding the operation of particular chairs and conditions on particular runs, see the OFFICIAL Silver Mountain comprehensive trail and grooming report. The abbreviated snow report above is provided as a public service for those locals with dial-up internet who need basic information quickly. Since wind conditions can change dramatically at Silver Mountain, this abbreviated report is extracted from the resort's snow report every 20 minutes between 5:13 and 10:53 AM each morning. At 11:01, this page is copied to an archive directory at wallace-id.com and renamed with the date incorporated. These archived reports will be used, along with the snow reports from Lookout Pass Ski Area to compile the daily 2017/18 Silver Valley Ski Area Snowfall Log and Commentary. This is the 17th season that I have recorded the daily snowfall at both Silver Valley ski resorts.
