For information regarding the operation of particular chairs and conditions on particular runs, see the OFFICIAL Silver Mountain comprehensive trail and grooming report. The abbreviated snow report above is provided as a public service for those locals with dial-up internet who need basic information quickly. Since wind conditions can change dramatically at Silver Mountain, this abbreviated report is extracted from the resort's snow report every 20 minutes between 5:13 and 10:53 AM each morning. At 11:01, this page is copied to an archive directory at and renamed with the date incorporated. These archived reports will be used, along with the snow reports from Lookout Pass Ski Area to compile the daily 2017/18 Silver Valley Ski Area Snowfall Log and Commentary. This is the 17th season that I have recorded the daily snowfall at both Silver Valley ski resorts.
