(The fact that I have accumulated way more photos of Lookout Pass than I have of Silver Mountain only reflects my personal situation with no car and limited cash. Silver Mountain resort, which also offers lodging, a water park and golf course, is very popular and offers great skiing and riding on diverse terrain.) |

 John Davis (formerly the voice of KWAL) drove me to the mountain for an unexpected final day of skiing. |
 Looks like I have Sunrise all to myself... wait a minute there is one other person enjoying the morning sun. |
 skiing with shorts and a short sleeved shirt on unblemished soft snow on Silver Belt... does it get any better? |

 The expert trail Rendezvous was especially sweet because it is steep yet simple when the snow is so soft. The expert 16 to 1 and Morning Star expert powder fields are in the distance. |
 The most popular place on the mountain did not involve exercise... except for dancing. The free gondola ride brought a lot of folks in street clothes to the beach party. |
 Our popular, dedicated, effective and fun-loving sheriff, Mitch Alexander, stands out in a crowd. He and I had quite the adventure at Lookout Pass on March 2. |
